The Frisco RoughRiders Are On 105.3 HD2

The Frisco RoughRiders have announced a partnership with CBS Radio and 105.3 FM KRLD HD2 to broadcast all 140 regular season games and any potential playoff games at Dr Pepper Ballpark in 2009.

“We are extremely proud to announce a partnership with CBS Radio to be the new radio home of the RoughRiders for 2009,” said RoughRiders President & General Manager Scott Sonju. “KRLD FM HD2 is the latest in the ever-growing family of CBS Radio affiliates and the RoughRiders are excited to be broadcasting in HD.”

Veteran play-by-play broadcaster and Emmy Award winning announcer Scott Garner will return to the booth for his seventh season as the “Voice of the Frisco RoughRiders.”

“We are very excited about the partnership with such a respectable team,” Senior Vice President and General Manager of 105.3 The Fan David Henry commented. “The opportunity to put play by play coverage on an HD format is a great example of the direction that the radio industry is headed and the mass opportunities for partnerships such as these. With such a great product as the Indie-Verse we are so proud to make the home of the Frisco RoughRiders with this great station.”

The RoughRiders’ home opener is Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. against the Springfield Cardinals at Dr Pepper Ballpark. The ‘Riders will play 70 regular season home games and will also host the Texas League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 1. Frisco will open the 2009 season on April 9 in Springfield, Missouri.
