Everett Newton holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Texas, and a J.D. from the University of Houston. For over fifteen years, he has practiced criminal defense law in Dallas County. He is a partner with the law firm of Berlof & Newton, P.C.

Everett is also a member of several professional organizations, and is president of the Dallas Municipal Justice Bar Association for 2008. In addition to hosting his own show for the past four years, he is an original cast member of Live 105.3's long-running "Russ Martin Show," on which he appears Fridays.
